Hello!

I am a colored pencil artist and illustrator from the Seattle area.

I am currently pursuing a degree in 2-D Art and Graphic Design at Whitworth University.

About

My art is inspired by the coziness of autumn, Scripture, and the wonderful critters of the Pacific Northwest. Influenced by scientific illustration, I render the details of animals and environments in colored pencil. By adding a layer of abstracted watercolor, I explore the dynamic between the detail of the colored pencil and the natural texture of the watercolor. I find beauty and joy in autumn, as its warmth and symbols weave their way into my work. I integrate themes of light and hope, as I am encouraged by the hope of the gospel.

As an aspiring publishing illustrator, I approach my graphic design work in book format. I work to create designs that are inspired by animals and nature. Reflecting my 2-D work, Washington State Wildflowers and The Scarf are two projects I’ve worked on combining my 2-D art with digital design. With a love for children's books, I gear my designs towards a younger audience valuing typography and styles that are elaborate yet clear.
